I Surrender

I can't deny it any longer.  Pinterest has sucked me in.  I finally gave in and started pinning like nobody's business.  It has provided a wealth of inspiration as I continue in my quilting endeavors (stay tuned for an update in that area!) and has me yearning for the day when we own a home that we can go crazy with and decorate to our heart's content!

Perhaps the most useful part of Pinterest for me has been all of the yummy recipes I've come across.  We've made FIVE new dishes in the past three weeks, all from my Pinterest board.  While some of them could use a little tweaking (or just a little more practice) but Marcus and I agree that we'd try all of them again! By far, our favorites were two appetizer/snacks that we made for a little get-together we had recently.  If you've ever had fried mozzarella sticks at your favorite restaurant and wished you could make your own, I'm happy to report that you can!  We also made some sweet and spicy bacon-wrapped chicken bites that were equally delicious.  Other dishes we've tried: Chicken Florentine Bowtie Pasta, Bacon Ranch Chicken in the crockpot, and Crispy Shrimp Pasta.  You can find all these recipes on my "Yummy in my Tummy" board here.

Next up, a project involving our tray tables...off to Hobby Lobby!

As they say in Pinterest-land, "happy pinning!"

  2. Pinterest is seriously addictive! You are doing better than I am, I have a recipe board that I pin to but I haven't tried many of them yet! Over from kelly's korner and I have enjoyed reading your blog,
